to Molly’s
Project
Creating forever-homes for people with autism and/or learning disabilities in the North-East of England.
What makes a Molly home?
A Molly home is a place to belong – offering stability, comfort and the reassurance of knowing this is home for as long as it needs to be.
Forever-home
Involvement
People living in Molly homes are supported to make their home their own, with their views listened to, valued and respected.
Fairness
Fairness is at the heart of every Molly home – from affordability to transparency – so everyone is treated with dignity and care.
Molly homes are professionally managed and maintained to provide a safe, secure environment, giving residents the confidence to relax and thrive.

What we do
Molly’s Project, created by The Middleton Foundation, addresses a critical need for stable, supportive housing for people with autism and/or learning disabilities who struggle to access independent or supported living.
There is a significant shortage of suitable housing for this group across the UK. In response, The Middleton Foundation has committed an initial £2.5 million to develop specialist, affordable social housing in the North East of England.
As of 2026, the Foundation has purchased 7 houses, providing homes for 15 residents. The long-term aim is to continue acquiring properties and extend support to as many residents as possible.
